Overview

Andrea Centa is the Co-Leader of the firm’s Real Estate Law practice group and Co-Leader of the Ontario Real Estate Law practice group. She is a seasoned real estate partner who has established a broad real estate practice, focused on acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate, the development of large real estate projects and financings.

In her transaction-based practice, Andrea advises both domestic and cross-border clients across a variety of industries.  She handles sophisticated transactions on behalf of real estate developers, private institutional investors, both local and foreign, financial institutions, pension funds, pension fund managers and Crown corporations.  She advises buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, developers and investors in respect of office, retail, industrial, multi-residential and institutional properties. 

Andrea also represents investors, institutional clients and developers in the investment in real estate in Canada by Canadian, US and other non-Canadian investors through the establishment of joint ventures, co-ownerships, long-term ground leases, land exchanges and other similar structures. 

Andrea is committed to delivering innovative, efficient and practical advice and advising clients on the complexities of the real estate market.

Andrea has been named a LMG Rising Star and been repeatedly recognized by Who’s Who LegalChambers, Legal 500 Canada and Best Lawyers as a leading practitioner in the area of real estate law.
