Jeff Dennis is a lawyer, serial entrepreneur, best-selling author and public speaker. He has over 30 years’ experience with operating and advising entrepreneurial companies and their founders. After a successful career as an entrepreneur, Jeff joined Fasken 10 years ago as Counsel and Entrepreneur in Residence.
Bringing a wide range of experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, Jeff provides strategic legal and business advice to help companies realize their potential. In addition to providing legal advice, Jeff seeks to intermediate opportunities for all clients, including sourcing qualified investment targets for private equity and venture capital clients and introducing companies to strategic partners and investment groups capable of providing capital. He is also known as providing unvarnished “tough love” feedback to his clients.
Jeff has assisted clients spanning a range of industries, including real estate, hospitality, film production and finance, insurance, cosmetics, franchising, alternative energy and investment management.
Jeff is a co-author of Lessons from the Edge, the best-selling book which is a collection of stories by entrepreneurs of their biggest mistakes in business and the lessons that they learned.
Jeff speaks all over the world on a wide range of topics relevant to the leaders of high growth companies, including M&A and corporate finance, blockchain and cryptocurrency and his “Lessons from the Edge”. He once spoke to a business group in Kathmandu, Nepal!
