Mikaël Maher joined the Labour, Employment & Human Rights group in 2015 after completing his articling with the firm. He has been an advisor, litigator, trainer and lecturer for several years. Mikaël’s practice focuses on all aspects of labour and employment law, including individual and collective labour relations, and has developed expertise in occupational health and safety. Mikaël appears regularly before administrative tribunals and the courts.
Mikaël is actively involved as an ambassador for the Tel-jeunes Foundation, a role that is particularly close to his heart. He has also been a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréés du Québec for several years.
Before articling, Mikaël worked at the firm as a student for two years, over which time he was briefly assigned to a major labour law client.
Mikaël was named to the Dean’s List at Laval University’s Faculty of Law. Prior to entering law school, he completed a college diploma in pure and applied sciences.
While a law student, Mikaël volunteered with the Community Justice Centre in Québec City and the Legal Information Clinic at Laval University. More recently, he had the opportunity to spend several weeks in Guatemala on a humanitarian mission.
