Steven Rosenhek is one of Canada's leading litigation lawyers. Senior counsel in the Litigation and Class Action groups, he has extensive experience in complex commercial cases, major national and international class actions, commercial arbitrations, product liability, life sciences, and antitrust matters. Steven is widely recognized for his skills as a senior trial and appellate lawyer before all levels of Court in Canada, and a wide range of administrative and regulatory bodies.
Steven acts in high-stakes commercial litigation cases and defends significant class actions, claims and regulatory proceedings. He serves as national litigation counsel to major national and international manufacturers, distributors, and a wide array of other businesses. He regularly acts as national defence counsel in Canadian proceedings involving class actions and regulatory proceedings in multiple international jurisdictions.
Steven’s experience as a leading Canadian litigator has been recognized by Chambers, Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Benchmark Canada, Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal), The Legal 500 (Canada) and Best Lawyers in Canada.
Steven has taught trial advocacy at both law schools in Toronto, the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (1987-2000) and Osgoode Hall Law School (1988-1990). He has also served since 1988 as Instructor and Team Leader for the Intensive Trial Advocacy Programme for lawyers and the Part-Time LL.M Programme at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Past President of the Ontario Bar Association (1998-99), the largest provincial bar association in Canada, Steven currently serves as Chair of the OBA Foundation, its charitable arm. In 2010, Steven received the OBA Award for Distinguished Service, recognizing his exceptional career contributions and achievements.
