Yves Turgeon practises labour and construction law. He represents work providers, contractors and employers in the construction industry and other sectors, including manufacturing, forestry, mining, wind industry and financial services. He handles files involving collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, labour standards and the duty of loyalty.
Yves acts primarily for large industrial work providers and their associations, who require his construction law extensive experience to answer questions on workforce management, skills training and occupational health and safety obligations.
He also advises contractors and owners on compliance of work with the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
Quebec labour markets are transforming and Yves advises businesses in relation to atypical work and whether their independent agents or self-employed workers are subject to the different tax and labour laws.
