Sanmina-SCI acquires BreconRidge for US$53 million

On May 28, 2010, BreconRidge Corporation of Ottawa, Ontario was acquired by Sanmina-SCI (NASDQ: SANM) of California, a leading electronics manufacturing services provider. This acquisition, valued at US$53 million, will complement and enhance Sanmina-SCI's current RF/microwave and micro/opto-electronic capabilities with a world class design and engineering team and state of the art manufacturing operations. Fasken Martineau advised BreconRidge Corporation and its board of directors on the sale of the company, with a team led by Brian McIntomny and including, among others, Bob Chapman and Charles Lynch (securities, corporate/M&A), and Anthony Baldanza and Mark Magro (competition), assisted by student-at-law Jason Tsoukas.
