Alana Kiteley is a student at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law with seven years of prior experience in government.
Before law school, Alana worked in the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO), completing her tenure as Director of Issues Management and Parliamentary Affairs. Before moving to the PMO, Alana served various provincial and federal cabinet ministers, primarily in issues management and parliamentary and legislative affairs roles. Alana has extensive experience working in and taking on leadership roles in high-stakes and fast-paced environments. While in law school, Alana served as a Caseworker at Downtown Legal Services in the Employment Law and Academic Appeals division. There, Alana engaged in extensive written advocacy on behalf of clients. She also represented clients at hearings and mediations, including at the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. Alana competed in two competitive moots and was awarded Top Oralist in her first-year moot. Alana received her undergraduate degree at Western University, where she specialized in Political Science and earned a Certificate in Ethics.
In her spare time, Alana loves exploring Toronto, catching new productions or reading new books, and sharing good meals over long conversations with friends.
