Alexandra Freedman is a member of the Corporate/Commercial group at the Montréal office. Her practice covers all aspects of business law and is mainly focused on mergers and acquisitions of public and private companies, as well as securities law.
Alexandra advises companies and institutional investors on the organization of their business activities, as well as complex purchase, sale, merger, financing, and restructuring operations, both nationally and internationally. She also represents issuers and brokers in their financing activities, whether through prospectuses or in the form of private placements.
Alexandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in both civil law and common law (B.C.L. and LL.B.) from McGill University and a Master’s degree in business law (LL.M.) from the Université de Montréal with a focus on public markets and corporate governance. As part of her studies, she had the opportunity to study in the Netherlands and Brazil, deepening her interest in the practice of international business law.
At the firm, Alexandra is co-chair of the Force Féminine Fasken (F3) group, which promotes business development for women and women’s outreach within the business and legal community in Québec.
