Amanda Samuels is an articling student in the firm's Toronto office.
Amanda graduated from the JD/HBA program at the Western University, Faculty of Law and Richard Ivey School of Business, with distinction. The summer prior to law school, Amanda gained valuable experience in corporate finance as an investment banking summer analyst. In this role, she performed financial analysis, prepared client presentations, and conducted industry research for Canadian financial services clients. The following summer, she worked as a summer law student at a boutique business law firm in Toronto. Over the past five years, Amanda has been an active member of The Aleph Group, a consulting club at Western University, where she has held leadership roles and contributed to projects for international technology start-ups. As a law student, Amanda has been part of the Western Business Law Clinic, where she has provided pro-bono legal services to small businesses in London. Her participation in moots, such as the Gender and the Law Association moot, has honed her advocacy skills, earning her the recognition of top oralist after placing first in the competition. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys travelling, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Amanda participated in the Firm’s Summer Secondment Program in 2023, and was seconded to a client.
