Amrick Bansal acts as a partner for our Real Estate group at Fasken’s Montreal office. Drawing on over 15 years of experience in real estate, close to a decade of which as General Counsel of a private real estate investment firm, Amrick provides clients with grounded, pragmatic and business-oriented solutions.
His practice focuses on all aspects of real estate work, including financings, acquisitions/dispositions, joint ventures, large-scale development projects and corporate transactions (M&A). Amrick regularly acts on behalf of developers, investment funds, family offices, financial institutions and entrepreneurs, helping his clients reach their commercial goals without sacrificing long term objectives.
Amrick was previously Vice-President and General Counsel of a private investment firm with significant commercial real estate holdings in the provinces of Québec and Ontario, as well as in New York state. In overseeing the legal and commercial affairs of the firm, including its active stakes in non-real estate affiliated entities, Amrick has extensive experience operating in fast-paced corporate environments across multiple sectors, jurisdictions and business lines.
Fluently bilingual, Amrick began his practice in Commercial litigation and Construction law where he has appeared before all levels of court in Québec, including the Court of Appeal. He is a past member of the board of Lower Canada College, as well as the Montreal General Hospital Young Ambassadors and the Hillside Tennis Club.
