Overview

Bianca Da Costa practices both civil and commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution in the Johannesburg office with a focus on construction law.

Recognized as a Next Generation in the 2017 edition of Legal 500 EMEA for her expertise in Dispute Resolution, Bianca has expertise in arbitrations, alternative dispute resolution procedures, urgent applications (including to the Supreme Court of Appeal) in respect of disputes pertaining to construction and engineering, insolvency and liquidation and general civil and commercial litigation, as well as drafting and reviewing of agreements.

Bianca has experience in representing insurers, insured and beneficiaries in various forms of dispute resolution proceedings in respect of claims against demand guarantees and other forms of guarantees and bonds, enforcement of insurance claims and recovery of claims on behalf of insurers. She also has experience in assisting financial institutions with regulatory compliance.

She also appears before the Magistrate Courts and instituted civil appeals to the full bench of the High Court as well as to the Supreme Court of Appeal.
