Camille S. Sigouin is an associate with the Labour, Employment, and Human Rights group at Fasken’s Ottawa office. Fluent in both English and French, Camille provides legal advice to employers and management on a broad spectrum of employment-related issues.
With a robust background in human resources and business, Camille brings a unique and practical perspective to legal matters involving human capital. She assists both provincially and federally regulated employers on various employment matters, including wrongful dismissal claims, workplace discrimination, employment agreements, post-employment obligations, and the development of workplace policies. Camille also addresses employment issues arising from corporate restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Passionate about fostering inclusive and equitable work environments, Camille is dedicated to helping employers navigate the evolving legal landscape while promoting positive workplace cultures.
Known for her client-focused approach, Camille is attentive to the unique needs of each client and is determined to ensure their success. She combines her legal acumen with a strong understanding of organizational dynamics and effective HR management.
Camille is a graduate of the University of Ottawa's JD-MBA program. Prior to attending law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management at the University of Ottawa. She has experience in government positions within human resources for the Senate of Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Before joining Fasken, Camille summered and articled at another national law firm.
Outside of her legal practice, Camille is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys running, cycling, and skiing, and is currently training to become a triathlete. Her passion for adventure and the outdoors fuels her energetic and dynamic approach to both her personal and professional life.
