Carolyn Flanagan is a client-centred litigator, trusted for her strategic approach to problem-solving. Carolyn litigates across a range of practice areas and industries with pragmatism and an acute awareness of her clients’ needs.
Carolyn maintains a varied civil and commercial litigation practice. She has particular expertise in class action defence — especially with respect to complex, multijurisdictional claims — including in the areas of product liability, competition and anti-trust, and privacy. She also specializes in product liability claims more broadly, representing product manufacturers in tort and breach of contract claims across all industries. Consistent with her solution-oriented approach, Carolyn is interested in securing the best possible outcome for her clients in and out of the courtroom.
Carolyn regularly volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline, providing legal assistance to Ontarians on civil matters. She also volunteers with the TAS-PBO Consumer Protection Initiative – a partnership between The Advocates’ Society (TAS) and Pro Bono Ontario (PBO) – that assists low-income consumers facing the effects of predatory door-to-door sales.
