Chantal Leblanc manages the paralegal services team in the Montreal and Quebec City offices, which mainly consists of paralegals, as well as specialists and legal and administrative support staff.
Chantal and her team provide support in various areas of the firm's activities, ranging from business law (commercial, corporate, banking, tax, securities, real estate) to litigation (banking, commercial, intellectual property) to trademarks, immigration and labour law.
Chantal is responsible for administrative matters, professional development and training of her team members, as well as the recruitment, integration and evaluation of personnel. She is involved with her team in operations management, project management and coordination, as well as policy and procedure development. She collaborates in the preparation and analysis of financial and statistical reports on the profitability of her team and with the associates in charge of the sections to identify opportunities to improve practices.
Chantal has an excellent understanding of the legal issues and needs of both internal and external clients, and of her team members. Recognized for her leadership, her authenticity and her ability to listen, she is committed to promoting and developing each individual’s strengths and skills, thereby improving their service offering and efficiency.
Before joining Fasken, Chantal exercised her leadership skills for 17 years at a renowned law firm in Montreal. A seasoned professional, she has nearly 35 years of experience in the legal field as a business law paralegal. Since 2020, she has focused primarily on team management. Her expertise has led her to participate in several major reorganizations and transactions as well as the preparation of the documentations required for various commercial and tax transactions. She has also supported the activities of the boards of directors of non-profit organizations for several years.
Chantal refines her legal knowledge and management skills through conferences, seminars and coaching sessions.
