Chinonso Ekeanyanwu is an articling student in the firm's Toronto office.
Chinonso graduated from Western University, Faculty of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property, Information, and Technology. She previously earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, graduating with Honours and serving as the Faculty of Science Valedictorian. During her undergraduate studies, she co-founded the Black Medical Leaders of Tomorrow, advocating for racial equity and access to healthcare. During law school, Chinonso was awarded the Fasken-Icon Talent Scholarship and the 2021 Bereskin & Parr LLP Scholarship. During her 1L summer, she worked at the Western Community Legal Services Clinic, representing marginalized and low-income communities in London. In her 2L year, Chinonso served as President of the Western Intellectual Property Association and the National Moot Director of the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, the largest student-run moot in Canada, organized by the Black Law Students’ Association of Canada. In her 3L year, she completed a semester abroad at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. In her spare time, she enjoys baking cheesecakes, reading, travelling, and roller skating.
Chinonso participated in the Firm’s Summer Secondment Program in 2023, and was seconded to the University Health Network.
