Claire Gowdy is a Business Law partner in the Firm’s Toronto office with a practice focused on private mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, complex commercial transactions and general corporate matters.
Claire advises domestic and foreign private equity investors and companies on their transactions in a broad range of industries including mining and natural resources, technology, industrials and healthcare. With a strong track record of assisting clients with investment opportunities and commercial ventures, and an instinct for negotiating the best outcomes, Claire deploys a practical, perceptive and business-driven approach to clients’ transactions.
Prior to joining the Firm, Claire practiced business law at a large national firm in Toronto with secondments to TD Bank and Vale Canada. Claire holds degrees in civil and common law from the McGill University Faculty of Law and an A.B. in psychology from Princeton University.
