Overview

David Turgeon is the leader of the Global Intellectual Property group, a lawyer and a patent agent. He represents clients before different courts, protects their inventions through patents and provides strategic advice. David represents clients operating in a variety of industries, more particularly the life sciences (namely biologics), biomedical devices and manufacturing sectors.

David practice focuses in high-stakes patent litigation involving clients’ flagship products. As lead counsel on major cases, he designs litigation strategies that are both cost-effective and results-oriented for clients.

A registered patent agent in Canada and the United States, David has extensive experience in developing global strategies and coordinating litigation in different jurisdictions. He focuses on creating synergy between the different files and implementing strategies to reduce the costs of multi-jurisdictional files.

David takes a global approach to obtaining patent protection in Canada and abroad on behalf of leading companies.

He holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in physiology-endocrinology and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. He uses his vast scientific knowledge for the benefit of clients working in the life sciences, biomedical devices and manufacturing industries.
