Desmond Mitic is a member of the litigation and dispute resolution group in the Calgary office. Desmond maintains a broad civil litigation practice with a focus on construction litigation and arbitration, complex shareholder disputes, and debt recovery. He also has experience with estate litigation, insolvency and restructuring, and in obtaining and resisting injunctive relief.
He received his Juris Doctor in 2019 from the University of Alberta. At the U of A, he volunteered with Student Legal Services where he provided legal guidance to low-income members of the community, and with the faculty’s annual theatre production, “Law Show” to raise funds for local charities.
Prior to law school Desmond attended the University of Calgary where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with distinction. In his spare time, Desmond enjoys preparing meals for his family and friends, playing guitar, and working on his golf game.
