Overview

Dominique Simard practised with the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group at the firm’s Montréal office since January 2015 before joining the Knowledge Management team in 2021. Dominique focuses on managing the firm’s know-how and incorporating innovative technology into the litigation practice, as well as managing electronic evidence.

Dominque contributes to managing documents cost-effectively in an increasingly technological world thanks to her knowledge and understanding of the importance of litigation technology and the needs of lawyers throughout the litigation life cycle. She works with the legal team, the IT staff, and suppliers on complex document management. She is responsible for automating model proceedings for the Litigation group and works very closely with the firm administration to manage litigation tools, including the selection and evaluation of new technologies. Dominique represents the Commercial Litigation group on the Comité novation at the Montréal office and represents on the Conseil de la gestion du savoir grouping the large Montréal law firms.

Prior to joining Fasken, Dominique worked for another international firm.  As part of her duties, she has worked on several high-profile matters in construction, liability, insurance, and financial and accounting fraud.  The administrative part of her practice included supervising a team of paralegals.
