Overview

Émilie Sylvain-Jacques is a lawyer in the Labour, Employment & Human Rights Group at the Québec City office. She offers strategic advice in labour law to a diverse clientele from both the public and private sectors, whether it be with regard to collective or individual labour relations, including collective agreements, labour standards and occupational health and safety. She also advises foreign companies on their employer obligations in Québec.

In her practice, Émilie has developed in-depth knowledge with respect to investigating and advising on psychological harassment for federal and provincial companies. She also advises professional orders and their trustees in matters of disciplinary law. She makes representations before administrative and civil courts, but also before disciplinary councils.

In addition to speaking at conferences, Émilie offers various training courses to organizations and employers in their own workplace. Not long ago, she offered training courses on the different changes brought forward by the recent adoption of the Act to Prevent and Fight Psychological Harassment and Sexual Violence in the Workplace. Before beginning her law studies, Émilie completed her police training at ENPQ. Her academic and professional background speaks volumes about her drive and desire to ensure good labour relations.
