Overview

Emma recently completed her second year of law school at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law.

During her studies, Emma competed in and won the Alberta Court of Appeal civil moot competition. Emma has also been involved in the Student Legal Services Trans ID project, assisting individuals change their legal names and gender markers.

Before law school, Emma held communications positions at the University of British Columbia and Arts Umbrella. Emma completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of British Columbia in 2018, majoring in English Honours.

During school, Emma is a member of the University of Alberta Golden Bearristers women’s rugby team. She has been a long-time competitive ultimate frisbee player, playing at the collegiate, national, and international level. She now trains for road races.
