Fasken Martineau's Litigation and Dispute Resolution group is pleased to invite you to this seminar that will examine the class actions authorization criteria in light of the Court of Appeal’s decision in Sibiga v. Fido Solutions inc. and Charles v. Boiron Canada inc.
Pierre Lefebvre acted for Rogers in the Sibiga case and will discuss the scope of the Court of Appeal’s conclusions, particularly regarding consumer protection, while Stéphanie Lavallée will analyze how Sibiga and Boiron could influence civil liability class action authorizations. The speakers will explore the circumstances in which a defendant should or should not oppose an application for authorization to institute a class action.
