Workshop Invitation:

Human rights and discrimination issues can be some of the most complex and challenging issues organizations may face. With an organization’s reputation on the line, along with ever-increasing potential liability when facing human rights complaints, organizations need to be informed of their obligations and be prepared to appropriately respond to complex human rights issues as they arise.

To help ensure your organization is informed and prepared, Fasken invites you to attend its inaugural National Human Rights Workshop - a comprehensive half-day presentation by Fasken’s leading human rights lawyers from its offices across Canada covering topical issues in all areas of human rights impacting on organizations.

About Fasken and Human Rights:

Fasken is a leading human rights firm nationally, with leading human rights lawyers in each of its offices across the country who work with organizations to help address all their human rights needs including in employment, retail and service customers, accessibility, tenancy, public sector matters, students and any other areas human rights may arise.

Who Should Attend:

This workshop will be of interest to anyone in a position within an organization with responsibility over matters in which human rights issues may arise, including relating to customers, employees, contractors, tenants, accessibility issues, and publications.

Workshop topics:

  • Racial Profiling, Discriminatory Harassment, and the Duties of Organizations
  • To Accommodate or Not to Accommodate? Family Status Discrimination Update
  • When Human Rights Conflict: Considerations in Balancing Human Rights
  • Legislating Accessibility: A National Guide for Organizations
  • The Duty to Accommodate: the Essential Update
