Most employers already recognize that conducting effective workplace investigations is an essential part of building a respectful workplace culture. However, employers also need to understand how the increased discussion and awareness of social justice issues and goals may impact those investigations. In this presentation, our speakers will discuss how widespread increased awareness is being reflected in investigations and the importance of procedural fairness to complainants and respondents.

We will lead an informative discussion of the following:

  • Latest case law and federal update
  • COVID-19 and workplace investigations
  • Understanding unconscious bias and microaggressions, and how they can impact investigations
  • The Impact of #MeToo and Black Lives Matter on Harassment Investigations
  • “Cancel Culture” and Procedural Fairness
