Overview

The session will review current tax developments in the area of M&A. The presenters will consider both key structuring issues as well as critical tax components of an M&A transaction.

The session will also include a discussion of tax issues that are particularly significant in the context of investments and acquisitions by private equity firms. This discussion will include a review of the cross-border tax issues that can arise in transactions involving non-Canadian private equity firms.
