The session will cover global trends in climate-related litigation, prospects for climate-related litigation against private companies in Canada, securities law issues related to corporate climate-related targets and disclosures, competition law risks that can arise from complaints that mining companies may be misleading the market in their sustainability or ESG reporting, as well as what mining companies can do to mitigate these risks.
