Overview

Jonathan Raizenne is a member of the firm’s Corporate/Commercial group. His practice covers technology and IT law, venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions. Jonathan advises start-ups during every step of their development and has intervened in funding rounds ranging from pre-seed financing to exit by acquisition or initial public offering.

Jonathan also assists clients with respect to privacy and cybersecurity, open source licensing, and general commercial matters.

Prior to joining Fasken, Jonathan worked as an in-house counsel in one of Montreal’s most successful technology companies, where he was responsible for large-scale contractual negotiations, as well as designing and implementing the company’s privacy compliance framework.

Before entering law, Jonathan taught English in Okayama for one year, an experience that deepened his knowledge of the Japanese language and culture.
