Julie is a member of the Québec Bar Association since 2005 and a partner in Fasken’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Québec City. She practises primarily in construction law, real estate law and commercial litigation.
She represents a diverse client base that includes directors, shareholders, business executives, syndicates of co-owners, developers and property managers. She regularly appears before courts of all levels as well as specialized tribunals, arbitration tribunals and the Federal Court.
Preventing and resolving disputes is at the core of her approach, which is focused on negotiating and developing strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients.
In addition to using her invaluable legal advice to help clients, Ms. Banville also enjoys giving back to her community. She was a member of the board of directors of the Cégep de Sherbrooke and a director and treasurer of the Saint-Hyacinthe chapter of the Arthritis Society. She also devotes time to supporting young students with their studies.
Since completing her law degree at the Université de Sherbrooke, Ms. Banville has quickly built a reputation as a committed professional who is always attentive to her clients’ needs. Prior to joining Fasken, she worked at a large law firm, where she developed her knowledge and experience in, construction, real estate and litigation.
