Julien Verneau is a lawyer within the Intellectual Property group at our Montréal office.
Julien has extensive experience in patent litigation. He strategically intervenes at all stages of litigation, from the preparation of court documents and witnesses to the trial, and helps develop effective and successful strategies for his clients. Julien holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and is very comfortable dealing with complex technologies, preparing reports and testimonies for trial.
He also assists clients develop and manage their patent portfolios. He values his clients’ commercial and legal issues and works with them to develop strategies that meet their business needs.
Julien has advised innovative national and international companies in a wide range of technological fields, including biotechnology, life sciences, metallurgy, additive manufacturing, energy, transport and manufacturing.
Julien has been involved in the Montreal community for over 10 years through the Montreal Artists Legal Clinic, where he now sits as a board member.
Prior to joining Fasken, Julien practised with a national law firm focused on intellectual property.
