Overview

Private equity players need to stay competitive. The Legal 500: Private Equity (2nd Edition) Country Comparative Guide Provides an overview of private equity law across jurisdictions.

Fasken is responsible for the Canadian chapter, which provides insights into deal activity and the Canadian market. It was written by lawyers in our Private Equity and Venture Capital group, Caitlin Rose, and Enoch Chang (Securities and M&A), and David Johnson (Banking) and Alain Ranger (Tax). To learn more about topics in the guide or for assistance in your national or global business endeavours, please contact one of our team members.

The aim of the guide is to provide an overview of private equity law in various jurisdictions. Each chapter provides information about the current issues affecting private equity practice in a particular country and addresses topics such as mergers and acquisitions, management incentive schemes and debt financing, as well as insight and opinions and any upcoming legal changes planned for their respective country.
