Latoya Brown is an associate in Fasken’s Toronto office, advising clients on trust and estate matters, and helping them develop strategies for wealth preservation and seamless succession planning. Her practice includes preparing wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, with a focus on tax-efficient wealth transfers and estate administration.
Latoya graduated from the University of Toronto with a double major in Psychology and Sociology, before pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business. She then attended Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she was a member of the inaugural cohort. Throughout her time at law school, she served as the Vice President of Finance for the Black Law Students’ Association at Lincoln Alexander.
Latoya worked in the financial services industry for six years, most recently as a Commercial Banking Account Manager. She summered and articled at Fasken and was seconded to a client. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and pottery.
