Laura maintains a broad labour, employment, and human rights practice. She advises private and public sector employers in the provincial and federal sector on various workplace matters related to labour relations, workplace investigations, employment agreements, workplace policies and procedures, drug and alcohol testing, employment litigation, human rights, and accommodation issues.
Laura has represented both unionized and non-unionized employers in different matters of labour and employment adjudication, including labour arbitrations, employment litigation, and human rights applications.
Laura graduated Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law where she received the Sherrard Kuzz LLP Prize for highest standing in Labour Law. At law school Laura also received the Greg Ratushny Scholarship for her enthusiastic contribution to the community as the creator of an interactive youth internship on Dispute Resolution in partnership with the Ontario Justice Education Network, and also served as their 2017-2018 Justice Education Fellow. At law school Laura was selected as one of two students for the Advanced Disability Rights Litigation Project, and served as a teaching assistant for the Dispute Resolution Practicum. Prior to law school, Laura obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Laura summered at the Firm in 2017 and was seconded to the Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal. She articled with the Firm in 2018-2019 and joined the Firm as an Associate in 2019.
