Lucas is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group in our Montreal office. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration. Passionate about science and innovation, Lucas keeps his ear to the ground on new technologies and closely follows the start-up ecosystem.
Lucas represents and assists corporate clients in a wide range of commercial disputes. With a strong penchant for public and constitutional law, he is regularly involved in class actions, public and administrative law and injunction cases. Lucas has already taken part in a number of international arbitrations before various tribunals and under various arbitration rules (ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL), having previously worked in the field with an international law firm in Paris.
With a wide range of interests, Lucas first obtained a bachelor's degree in biological sciences (B.Sc.) and was involved in Dr. Pavel Hamet's personalized medicine research efforts at the CHUM Research Center. He then moved on to the double law-MBA program (LL.B/MBA), during which he interned in intellectual property and contracts for a multinational aerospace company and assisted Prof. Mélanie Bourassa Forcier as a research assistant in intellectual property.
Finally, Lucas takes an interest in business relations between France and Canada, holding a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Paris-Panthéon-Assas and being a member of the Paris Bar. Fascinated by new technologies, Lucas is interested in artificial intelligence, legal tech, optimizing the practice of law and programming.
