Madeleine Blouin is an associate in Fasken's Banking and Finance group, with a practice focused on a diverse array of corporate and financing matters. She regularly advises clients on domestic and cross-border commercial lending, acquisition financing, project financing, and securitizations.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration at St. Francis Xavier University, specializing in Accounting and minoring in Sociology, Madeleine earned a J.D. from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. During her tenure at the University of Ottawa, Madeleine volunteered with the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (WLMP), which provides invaluable support to women throughout their legal careers. Additionally, she served as a dedicated committee member within the Association étudiante de Common Law / Common Law Student Society (AÉCLSS); the Common Law student government at the University of Ottawa.
Prior to joining Fasken, Madeleine summered and articled at a national law firm, which included a secondment to a Canadian fintech company.
