Marc Shewchun is a partner in the firm's Emerging Technology Group with over 20 years of experience acting for private and public technology companies. A seasoned legal advisor and business executive, Marc brings a deep knowledge of the evolving startup ecosystem to help clients achieve their business objectives.

Marc draws from managerial and operational experience in finance, facilities, customer support and community management in understanding current business challenges and anticipating those to come. His results-oriented approach to navigating corporate transactions, commercial partnerships, litigation mandates, as well as regulatory compliance and intellectual property matters, is sought by technology sector clients at all critical stages of development.

Prior to joining Fasken, Marc was the founder of a program dedicated to providing high quality legal services to early stage ventures in the Canadian startup community.
