Overview

Meagan Frendo joined the Fasken Vancouver office in the summer of 2024 following the successful completion of her second year of law school at the University of Ottawa.

Meagan is currently pursuing her law degree at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, Common Law section. During her tenure at law school, she was selected as a Writing Leader within the University's Legal Writing Academy to guide fellow students in refining their legal writing skills. Additionally, she assumed a role on the executive team of the bankruptcy and insolvency club, serving as the Communications Director. Leveraging her background in economics, Meagan also engaged in directed research aimed at enhancing legal systems to stimulate business and economic growth within Indigenous communities.

Before embarking on her legal studies, Meagan worked for the first Parliamentary Budget Officer of Canada while pursuing her honours bachelor's degree in economics and management, graduating with magna cum laude distinction. She also holds over a decade of experience in the upscale tourism and hospitality sector, where she has cultivated an appreciation of customer service and the importance of fostering strong client relationships.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Meagan enjoys a variety of interests outside of law school. She enjoys yoga and baking and has a passion for wine tasting.
