Overview

Nathan is a litigator who has recently joined Fasken’s Commercial Litigation and White Collar Defence and Investigations Team. Leveraging his strengths developed through a successful 21 year career in the RCMP where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and a Team Commander designation, Nathan brings particular skills and experience that blend well with the wide range of legal areas practiced at Fasken.

Nathan is developing a broad litigation practice which includes corporate and commercial disputes concerning contracts, property, debt, and shareholder remedies. In addition to the general commercial litigation practice, Nathan defends corporate clients and individuals facing criminal, civil, regulatory or administrative proceedings, and has been involved in cases of breach of trust, fraud, as well as various other alleged non-criminal wrongdoing, including in the mining and forestry sectors in British Columbia and a fatal workplace incident in Nunavut. Nathan also has experience acting as special prosecutor, working with Crown and police investigators in relation to criminal fraud charges and has consulted with provincial government agencies investigating regulatory proceedings under the Wildfire Act.

Nathan has obtained success for his clients at all levels of court in British Columbia and has defended lawyers and other professionals accused of professional misconduct.

Prior to joining Fasken, Nathan clerked at the B.C. Supreme Court, then completed his articles and was hired as an associate at a leading litigation boutique firm in Vancouver.
