Vancouver (Canada) – Johanna Fipke, a Partner at Fasken, is featured in the 2018 edition of the Top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining (WIM 100).
The 2018 WIM 100 recognizes the achievements of women leaders in the international mining industry for being a voice and role model for diversity and inclusion. Johanna was chosen out of 642 candidates for her significant contributions to the industry.
As a Partner in the Vancouver office, she is a member of the Firm’s Global Mining Group. Johanna is a commercial mining lawyer who provides advice on domestic and international mining projects and transactions. One of few lawyers in Vancouver qualified to practice in Canada’s North, she has been involved in significant projects in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Johanna specializes in drafting and negotiating mining agreements, mineral title work and complex mine exploration and development projects. She is also a founding director of Women in Mining BC and a dedicated mentor to young lawyers and students.
