This annual list outlines the most significant Canadian legal decisions and deals in the last twelve months, and is solicited from lawyers across the country involved in a number of practice areas.
Fasken was lead transaction counsel for the Government of Canada and Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) on this important Canada-US cross-border project.
The C$5.7 billion project encompasses the construction of a six-lane bridge, which will end the bottle-necking that currently exists between Ontario and Michigan. This new state of the art, environmentally friendly, cable-stayed bridge, with new port-of-entry facilities on both sides of the border and an interchange with I-75 in Michigan, will be one of the largest and most significant public infrastructure projects in North America.
