Montréal (Canada) – Frédéric Gilbert was appointed “Fellow” of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in North America. The induction ceremony took place on March 7th at the 2020 Spring Meeting of the College in Tucson, Arizona.

He is one of the most involved and recognized Canadian lawyer in the franchise industry, having been named “professional of the year” in 2012 by the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montréal, “Top 40 under 40” by Lexpert in 2015 and “lawyer of the year in franchise law” by The Best Lawyers in Canada in 2019. Frédéric regularly participates on different panels and authored the latest reference work on franchise law in Québec.

Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
