Calgary (Canada) – Larissa Svekla joins Fasken as Counsel in the Real Estate Group in the Firm’s Calgary office.
Larissa advises a broad range of local, national and international clients on complex commercial real estate matters including acquisition and disposition transactions, foreign ownership compliance, land ownership and structuring arrangements, development, leasing, and mortgage financing matters.
She has significant experience acting for landlords and tenants in drafting and negotiating high-profile leases, subleases and other occupation agreements for office, industrial, and retail space. Larissa acts for institutional lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate lending transactions and real estate investors in acquisition and disposition matters. She also assists clients through complex development and construction processes for industrial and commercial projects in municipalities across Alberta and works with clients on private and public infrastructure projects including public-private partnership (P3) projects.
