Johannesburg (South Africa) – Deanne Wood, Fasken partner and specialist in Insurance Law and Financial Services, pension law and regulatory law, has been appointed by the South African Minister of Finance as the Chairperson of the South African Ombud Council Board.
As a preeminent attorney in her field, Deanne will serve the Financial Services industry during her three year term with the Ombud Council on the Council’s objectives of assisting “in ensuring that financial customers have access to, and are able to use affordable, effective, independent and fair alternative dispute resolution processes for complaints about financial institutions in relation to financial products, financial services and services provided by financial infrastructures.”
