Montreal (Canada) – Fasken is pleased to announce the election of François Brais as Managing Partner for the Quebec region. François will officially take office on January 1, 2024, succeeding Éric Bédard, who held this position for 12 years.
François Brais, a business lawyer, has been a partner at Fasken for 13 years. He will oversee all of the firm’s strategic activities in Quebec.
François is recognized for his expertise in investment funds and asset management by Chambers, Lexpert, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal Canada and as an outstanding lawyer by Thomson Reuters (Acritas StarTM). He is also an active member of the community through institutions such as the Canadian Paralympic Committee, the Board of Directors of Finance Montréal and, until recently, the Board of Governors of the Conseil des fonds d’investissement du Québec.
