Fasken Partners Across Canada Honoured as Lexpert Rising Stars

Lexpert Rising Stars are recognized for their work to better their practices, communities, and organizations through legal excellence, client service, mentorship and community involvement.

Toronto (Canada) - Fasken partners, Audrey Gagnon, Christopher Pigott, Zach Romano and Kadiatou Sow, have been named Lexpert Rising Stars for 2023.

Each year, Lexpert celebrates Canada’s leading lawyers under 40, who are the rising stars of the legal community. This recognition highlights and honours the contributions these lawyers have made to their Firm, the legal profession and their larger communities.

Audrey Gagnon’s practice is focused on civil liability, contractual liability and commercial litigation. She has specific expertise in professional liability and insurance companies trust Audrey to defend their clients, namely dentists, lawyers, accountants and other professionals Audrey regularly provides legal opinions on the prevention and resolution of disputes in these areas. A seasoned litigator, Audrey also advises clients on the development and evolution of proceedings before the civil courts.

Christopher Pigott’s practice is focused on labour, employment, human rights and public law. Chris provides employers with strategic advice, representation in negotiations and litigation, and guidance on law reform and policy development. He advises clients on how to achieve their goals in the face of major labour negotiations, organizational change and restructuring, and other critical developments that impact their workplace.

Zach Romano is a corporate commercial lawyer who advises clients on a broad spectrum of project development and Indigenous matters, including environmental approvals, consultation issues, acquisitions and divestitures of resource assets, and Indigenous equity participation transactions. He is entrusted with leading highly-complex files for some of Fasken’s most notable clients.

Kadiatou Sow is a member of the firm’s M&A and Corporate/Commercial groups focusing her practice on private mergers & acquisition and private equity transactions. She advises local and foreign clients of all sizes and in diverse industries and sectors in both local and cross border transactions and investments. Kadiatou’s experience also extends to venture capital transactions and through her extensive international network, is frequently sought by foreign companies wishing to set up operations in Quebec through strategic acquisitions or organic growth for their implementation.
