Montréal (Canada) – Fasken is pleased to announce the arrival of Justine Benoit as Partner in the Tax Group at the Montreal office. A member of the Québec Bar since 2012, Justine has distinguished herself in numerous matters in which she has represented major clients. Her practice focuses on Canadian corporate tax, mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, cross-border investments, and estate planning.
Justine is recognized by her peers and was named in the prestigious directory, The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2022, in the Tax Law and Trusts and Estates categories. Her reputation as a leading tax lawyer was also acknowledged in the 2023 and 2024 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.

Justine holds a law degree with distinction (mention d’excellence) (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal and a master's degree in tax law (LL.M.) from HEC Montréal and the Université de Montréal. She also holds a Certificate in Chinese Corporate Law from the China University of Political Science and Law. Prior to joining Fasken, Justine spent 10 years with the tax law team at another law firm.
Justine Benoit is a member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
