Toronto (Canada) – Katherine Pollock has been named the recipient of this year’s Ontario Bar Association SOGIC’s Robert Muir Award for Mentorship. Katherine will be presented with the award at the OBA’s Annual Pride Social on June 6, 2024.

Katherine Pollock is a member of the Firm’s Partnership Board and its past Chair from 2020-23. She is also the chair of the Board’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the founder of Fasken’s Pride Network. As a mentor at the Firm, Katherine consistently goes above and beyond to provide guidance and support to LGBTQ2S+ individuals navigating their careers in law.
In her law practice, Katherine advises and represents employers in labour, employment, and human rights matters. Regularly appearing before Federal and Provincial administrative tribunals and the civil courts, Katherine assists clients with wrongful dismissals, human rights, workers' compensation and employment standards issues. She is frequently retained to conduct highly sensitive investigations.
The Ontario Bar Association SOGIC's Robert Muir Award for Mentorship recognizes the outstanding contributions of a volunteer to Ontario Bar Association members through formal and informal mentorship. This Award honours the legacy of Associate Justice Robert Muir of the Superior Court of Justice both as a mentor and role model.
