Québec City, September 30, 2024 - After seven years as Fasken’s Québec City office Managing Partner, Carl Tremblay has chosen to step down from this role in order to now dedicate himself exclusively to his practice in business law, financing, and mergers and acquisitions. An esteemed lawyer recognized by Chambers and Best Lawyers in his field, Carl has brilliantly managed the responsibilities of leadership in Québec while maintaining a full practice. He played a key role in strategically positioning the Québec City office as a dominant force in the market.

We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Vincent Girard as Managing Partner of Fasken’s Québec City office. He will assume the role on January 1, 2025, after which he will support François Brais in advancing the Firm’s growth in the region.
A partner at Fasken since 2020, Vincent is an active member of the Corporate/Commercial practice group. Drawing from extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate finance and commercial contract negotiations, he has a proven ability to offer innovative legal solutions to his clients. Given his significant involvement in the cancer research centre (Centre de recherche sur le cancer) in Québec City, his dedication to the community is also admirable. Vincent is a graduate of Université Laval and completed the Accelerated Leadership Program at Harvard University. He is also a member of both the Québec Bar (Barreau du Québec) and the American Bar Association.
