Québec City (Canada) — Fasken is pleased to announce the arrival of Julie Banville as a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group in the Québec City office.
A member of the Québec Bar since 2005, Julie Banville is recognized for her experience in construction law, real estate law, and commercial litigation.
She represents a diverse client base that includes directors, shareholders, business executives, developers and property managers, and regularly defends their interests before courts of all levels as well as specialized tribunals, arbitration tribunals and the Federal Court.
Preventing and resolving disputes is at the core of her approach, which is focused on negotiating and developing strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of her clients.
“We are delighted to welcome Julie Banville to our team,” said François Brais, Regional Managing Partner for Québec. “Her extensive experience and approach to conflict resolution are aligned with our clients’ needs, and we are confident that she will play a key role in achieving our growth objectives in the Québec City area.”
Carl Tremblay, Managing Partner for the Québec City office, also comments: “The arrival of Julie Banville strengthens our team and enables us to offer our clients cutting-edge experience in strategic areas such as construction law, real estate law and commercial litigation. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to understand complex business issues make her an asset to our firm and to our clients.”
In addition to using her invaluable legal advice to help clients, Julie Banville also enjoys giving back to her community. She sat on the board of directors of the Cégep de Sherbrooke and was a director and treasurer of the Saint-Hyacinthe chapter of the Arthritis Society. She also devotes time to supporting youth in their studies.
After completing her law degree at the Université Laval, Julie Banville quickly built a reputation as a committed professional who is always attentive to her clients’ needs. Prior to joining Fasken, she worked at a large law firm, where she developed her knowledge in construction law, real estate law and litigation.
