Ottawa partner Clifford Sosnow comments on the difficulties faced by the Canadian government in its efforts to seize the assets of Russian businessman Roman Abramovic, sanctioned in connection to the war in Ukraine, in a CBC News report.
“The issue of ownership and control [of the assets] is a hard one. There’s a series of thickets for the Canadian government to have to work through to act on this,” said partner Clifford Sosnow.
