Nicholas McFarlane is an Associate in the Banking and Finance group with a practice focusing on lending and securitization transactions. Nicholas acts for borrowers and lenders and has experience in bilateral, syndicated and cross-border transactions.
Prior to law school, Nicholas held various commercial banking roles at GE Capital and Wells Fargo. In these roles, Nicholas was responsible for originating equipment finance loans and managing the transaction process from credit approval to funding. Following his banking career, Nicholas completed his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School where he earned the Honourable F.H. Barlow Scholarship for his academic performance in banking and business law courses. Prior to joining Fasken, Nicholas summered and articled at another national law firm.
